Hydroponic Lettuce Sampling
In science we have been learning about what plants need most for growth. Do plants need soil, water, carbon dioxide and sunlight in order to grow? Which could they do without? We analyzed data from several investigations in which there was a control plant and an experimental plant. For example, experimental plant A was not given any soil. Students had to analyze data from a 4 week period and draw conclusions.
Your child will earn extra credit if they can share answers to the above questions. Simply write a short note in your child's assignment book that they shared.
Today, we sampled lettuce from a local hydroponic farm located in Waitsfield, Vermont. Below are pictures of students sampling the lettuce.
