Simulation of Congress
In social studies today, each class simulated Congress and learned first-hand how a bill becomes a law. Each student wrote their own bill. Students were broken up into the House of Representatives and the Senate. Ask your child what role they played and what they learned. Below are pictures of our simulation.

Presidential Campaign
Wow! I have been so impressed by all of the creativity, dedication and excitement around the classroom election this year. To run for class president students had to: pick a running-mate, create two campaign posters, pass out campaign "swag", deliver a speech and for extra credit record a campaign video using the green screen. Students did an incredible job and it was certainly a tight race. Below are pictures of students running for class president delivering their speeches and passing out campaign "swag". Ask your child who won and what their campaign was about. All should be proud regardless of the outcome!
