Just a reminder that school pictures are tomorrow 9/28. Students can change in and out of clothing if they'd like. Our time is before lunch and recess.

Fort Day

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Believe it or not Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up soon. Your child has brought home a conference sign-up letter. Please check off the day that works best for you and have your child return it by this Friday. If you need an extra copy click here. We looking forward to meeting with you on either October 17th or 18th.

Privilege Time

Both classes have been working hard learning our classroom routines, schedules and curriculum. Students earned a classroom celebration in which they earned social time with friends. Students played games, colored, played Jenga, and read a fun book. This was a great community building time. Below are pictures from our earned time.

Math- Growth Mindset

In math, we have been working on developing a growth mindset while working on inspirational math challenges. Some of the fun lessons we have done can be found here.
The pictures below show students trying to cut out a scalene triangle by folding their paper and making only one cut with their scissors. Ask your child how they kept a growth mindset during this math challenge. Check out this video that shows what you can do with 2-d geometrical shapes and one cut.

Save Fred Challenge

In science students worked on a team building activity to save Fred. Ask your child what they did during this activity. What problems and challenges occurred?
