During our matter unit, students have been working on identifying matter by its properties. In this Mystery Powder investigation students:
- Observed and measured substances to identify them based on their properties.
- Tested different substances and identified cause and effect relationships.
- Used tools to make accurate measurements and used standard units to describe physical properties.
- Made observations and measurements to produce data.
- Recorded data in tables and looked for patterns.
- Identified a mystery powder by making a claim and supporting it with evidence.
